1626 Dining
1626 Dining is a is a private dining restaurant and food stand. It provides users with a unique restaurant experience with beautiful views of upstate New York and food that is grown only yards away.

Project Scope: To program and redesign a pre-existing silo that will draw clients to the air-bnb and be economically viable.
Solution: To create a restaurant and local farmstand.

Marital Status
Kingston NY is made up of primarily married couples over the age of 25. Thus the silo needs an activity to cater to these demographics. 1626 Dining is an elegant restaurant that allows for intimate meals shared with loved ones will also catering to those who want a quick bite at the bar.
The Airbnb is surrounded by farmland and 3 ponds. This map shows the blue restaurants which are primarily in the center of Kingston. The red dot shows where Homeforest is. Thus, I want to provide a restaurant that can be used by those who wish to escape the busy life of the center of Kingston and enjoy a meal in a rural, farm environment.

The first level includes the kitchen, bar and produce stand. The kitchen is fairly small which is proportional to only having 2 dining rooms. There is a bar on the first floor that lets clients have a quick bite after hiking/ exploring the property instead of the entire dining experience on the upper levels. The second and third floor dining rooms have inset seating that utilize the vertical space of the silo.

The staircase wraps around the entire silo, with platforms at each level to enter the different floors. Windows wrap around the Northern side of the building giving scenic views of the farm. The third floor dining space has a beautiful view of the sky with the glass dome ceiling, creating an ultimatly unique dining experience.
